Hey Copper, I Didn't See Nothin' an' Nobody

The Democrat in Waukesha County who verified -- on video -- that the numbers from the city of Brookfield mistakenly were left out of the count reported to AP now insists she didn't see nothin' (via The PJ Tatler):
I am 80 years old and I don’t understand anything about computers. I don’t know where the numbers Kathy [Nickolaus] was showing me ultimately came from, but they seemed to add up. I am still very, very confused about why the canvass was finalized before I was informed of the Brookfield error and it wasn’t even until the press conference was happening that I learned it was this enormous mistake that could swing the whole election. I was never shown anything that would verify Kathy’s statement about the missing vote, and with how events unfolded and people citing me as an authority on this now, I feel like I must speak up.
(added) Her full statement is posted on the website of the Waukesha Democratic Party.

Oh yeah?  HotAir links to the videotaped press conference in which Miss I Can't Remember Nothin' thought otherwise (starting at 13:30):
"We went over everything and made sure that all the numbers jibed up and they did.... Everything that we went over yesterday afternoon and today all those numbers jibed up and we're satisfied that it's correct.  And I'm with the Democratic Party Vice Chair of Waukesha County, so I'm not going to stand her and tell you something that's not true."
Update:  It's the Uncle Leo defense:

  1. So, what's the gameplan here? Fundraising? Just general greifing? Or are they so bold as to try to delay the certification of the election so there is a vacancy on the court liberal head justice can appoint a (presumably liberal) temp replacement for Prosser so crucial decisions go their way in the interim?

  2. So her excuse is.... dotage? Would be okay with a rule mandating that people 80 years old and over shouldn't be vice party chairs of anything because they can't be held accountable due to the high incidence of dotage? Her excuse boils down to admitting that she doesn't have the skills necessary for doing her job.

  3. Excellent calling her out on the video. I watched that video too and remembered it was at the 13:30 mark when she came out and made that statement. So it will be most interesting to see how this now plays out. Will this be another case like that Democrat a few years back who said he lied to his diary?

  4. It sounds like someone got to her after the press conference, sat her down, and gave her a stern talking to with instructions to get the hell back out in front of those cameras asap and deny everything she just said.

  5. They shoot horses don't they. Maybe its time they shoot that old fart for changing her tune after some Union thugs got to her. We know whats going on. Its more stalling so the local districts can work out their contracts where the teachers continue to soak the public dry of everything they got. Unions are nothing but blood thirsty vampires, sucking the life out of the taxpayer.

  6. Union thugs got to her. Too late, though.

  7. Hey, I hate to be mean, but being 80 probably sucks and getting slammed by all those creeps who want Palin to die has to really rattle a person. Can you imagine? She probably got her house egged and death threats. There's plenty of proof that the numbers are right. I say cut the old lady some slack. I'm sure she didn't bargain for this mess when she took the job. Old people are easy targets and, dang, don't those thugs know that. Ugh to thugs.

  8. Professor,

Who are you going to believe...her or your lying eyes? :<)

  9. The ballots are the evidence. In any event given the video she'd make a piss poor witness against the county clerk...she's already given inconsistent statements the last of which states she doesn't have any useful information.

  10. Leaving aside all the young punks here disrespecting elders - and man, will you-all squirm when the shoes eventually on the other foot - just grab another recent video tape of her and compare it with these two. The truth will be obvious. Van Halen is right. She's being pressured to recant.

  11. @Real - I agree. They got to her. She will not be the Dem VP for the county much longer. Boo-frickin' hoo. I was hoping they would not attack an old woman.

Nothing is too low for the leftist thugs. Nothing.

  12. Gee, I keep wondering when candidate Kloppenburg is going to throw in the towel?

    I'm betting Wednesday. Here's why.

On the site of the Government Accountability Board (GAB) we find that the current number of counties "holding out" from officially reporting their results is now down to three -- Crawford, Sauk, and Milwaukee.

Here is what it says on the GAB website:

"Crawford, Milwaukee and Sauk counties are still being worked on, and will be posted as soon as possible. Milwaukee County will likely not be posted until Wednesday at the earliest."

Yeah! I’ll bet they’re "being worked on. " All three of them, of course, are Democrat-leaning counties.

The results for the entire State – including the current "unofficial" totals for those recalcitrant three, plus the results for all the rest of the counties who have all reported -- shows that only those three Democrat counties are not certifying their results as "official" yet.

But the current statewide total on the GAB shows that Prosser is currently in the lead by 7,322 votes.

In the case of Crawford county the lack of official certification after a week is just laughable. Get this! A grand total of 4,119 individuals cast ballots there county-wide -- 1,689 for Prosser and 2,428 for Kloppenburg! That's it! They could have verified that vote within an hour or two by hiring a third grade "consultant" to add the columns of municipal totals, even if they had to do it by hand!

Roughly the same could be said about Sauk County, which boasted a total of 16,367 votes cast, in which 7,171 pulled the lever for Prosser, 9,188 went with Kloppenburg, and 8 folks apparently voted for either themselves, their other brother Darryl, or maybe one or two got confused and thought it was all over the minute they shut the curtain. Perhaps an "honors" third grader would have been sufficient to verify those results, what with the confusion over the 8 head scratchers.

In Milwaukee County, adding up the gazillion precincts in a few places would have been a bit more difficult. But that’s why we have computers. In that urban county, in which 228,929 votes were cast, 99,339 were for Prosser, 129,032 were for Kloppenburg, and a whopping 558 voters marched to the beat of a different drummer.

Who knows why after a full week, these dunderheads still are incapable of certifying what happened?

Yet the Democrats are all out there screaming about either the incompetence or the deceit of the Clerk from Waukesha County because of a clerical error, one which she herself quickly owned up to!

And now on top of it all, we have Ramona the Waukasha Democrat suddenly developing a memory like unto a sieve!

    Now that's pure entertainment!

  13. D'oh! The "Uncle Leo defense"! Why didn't I think of that. That nails it.

  15. 80-year-old lady: "Officer, I didn't see Nothin' an' Nobody."

Unionized Police Officer: "Damn right you didn't. And don't forget it next time."

  16. So... was she lying then or is she lying now? Either way, she can't be trusted.
