Trump Crashes CPAC

K. McCaffrey --- I am super jealous of everyone who will be at CPAC today. I have to wait until tomorrow to attend (a cost-benefit analysis of the cost of college per credit hour leaves me no choice), but those who are there today will be graced with the presence of reality TV star Donald Trump. Trump is quite serious about making a bid for the presidency in 2012. He was on the Laura Ingraham Show yesterday issuing "a pledge to tax China, cut the Department of Education, and [claiming to be] pro-life."

Honestly, I've heard far worse ideas. I say let the Donald run. After all, he knows how to declare bankruptcy.

  1. Kathleen,

Enjoy CPAC. The Donald is also good at saying..... "You're fired". I think we need to hear that a little more in our government.

  2. There is no one else quite like The Donald. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is left as an exercise to the reader. I suspect that he will eventually come down on the side of not running as the price (loss of control of his investments, loss of control over his life) will be more than he is willing to pay.

  4. he'd make a decent candidate - for the Democrats.

He's never been a Conservative, and never will be.

  5. Donald may be serious about making a run--and he certainly has the money to pay his own way--but how many would seriously vote for him?

I'd say he as a snowball's chance in h*ll but with this winter's weather....
