Step Back From The Edge Of The Shower, Mr. President

The Obama administration has gone over the edge, and as we know from Eric Massa (formerly D-NY), all the way into the shower.

The thought of a naked Rahm Emanuel confronting an equally naked Massa in the showers at Congress over a vote is too horrible to picture.

When the White House Chief of Staff feels the need to confront members of Congress in the shower, the administration has lost its senses.

Take a step back, Mr. President.

Think about it Mr. President. Picture it. Then think about it some more. Then picture it again.

Then ask yourself, "How did it come to this?"

  1. Something stinks about all of this. Massa is resigning over making a little statement and tussling someone's hair? (his words)

There's a lot more to this than we're hearing. Michelle Malkin has a history on Massa that shows a year ago he was all for the things he now says are bad.

Is HE truly the one vote holding health care back? I would be very surprised.

  2. A naked power grab in the shower by a former ballerina. It just doesn't get any better than this. Next time anyone sees this fey yap dog in the shower, hide his tutu.

  3. Gives a whole new meaning to 'transparency'...literally, in the showers.

  4. Massa is a good example of what we have on the left in Washington. Everything is fine and dandy so long as they're one of the people in power that are trampling on everyone else's rights, picking our pockets, and shredding the Constitution. Once they're out, then they have a "come to Jesus" moment like the rest of us.

  5. You ask ' "How did it come to this?" ' but this confrontation happened in the first two months of 2009. This incident was in regard to cap and trade legislation.

  6. Call me old school, but if a guy comes at me in the shower naked as a jay-bird shouting obscenities, the next thing he would see is.....tile

  7. Professor, now I ask you, with all alactitous intent, do you really want the occupants of this Administration to actually heed your sage advice, and step back from the edge of the shower?

At long last, would it not be better -- or, at least more instructive for those who will be exercising the franchise this coming fall -- if these Administration figures continue to engage in behavior that is perceived by the majority of Americans as a clear indication of having gone right over the edge?

Or, am I misreading your post as a genuine offer of good advice, when it is a waggish means of highlighting the, shall we say, preternatural tendencies of certain senior Administration officials to use really odd means to enforce will of The One?

  8. Words you never thought you'd hear uttered from a duly elected politician:

"Do you know how awkward it is to have a political argument with a naked man?" -- Eric Massa

  9. Ooops -- "alactitous"? . . . no, I meant "alacritous." Sorry for the typo!

    . . .
    MaggotAtBroad&Wall, I agree.

And what Massa said must be particularly true with respect to those who tend to gesticulate a lot.

    Or, "close talkers."
