\ˈlē-gəl\ \ˌin(t)-sə-ˈrek-shən\: "a rising up against established authority; rebellion; revolt" "in conformity with or permitted by law"
Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteBullseye! Of course, in the real world, the discussion wouldn't get past 20 seconds before the lib screamed "racist" at the conservative and stormed off in a blind rage. They become very uncomfortable when their world-view and what they consider "the truth" is challenged and they tend to lash out at the challenger.
ReplyDeleteJim beat me to it.... + profanity and other name calling
ReplyDelete"Of course, in the real world..."
And re the Tea Party:
ReplyDeleteConservative Republican, negative rights Libertarian or classical liberal He: "Hey, the people are revolting."
Democrat leftist, fashionista or Progressive and women's lib She: "Yes, they are disgusting."
"Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so." - Ronald Reagan
ReplyDeleteThe 2001: A Space Odyssey reference at the end was a nice touch.
ReplyDelete"Racism is very subtle these days."
ReplyDeleteBanging head on desk here...
1. She let herself be cross-examined for a quarter hour without once trying to take the initiative. Golly, liberals are stupid. /snark
ReplyDelete2. Excuse my language, but if either of the factions symbolized in that video gets its way, we're screwed. (Although the male may be intended to depict an open-minded independent rather than a partisan conservative. Whatever.)
Afterthought:
ReplyDelete3. I wish the Right expressed a quarter of the skepticism about "missile defense" that they do about "global warming". (Both sets of quotes in the preceding sentence are intended to express skepticism: not denial, skepticism.)
Is that water cooler filled with milk?
ReplyDelete@gs: Defense is and always has been the smallest part of the budget. The largest is entitlement spending.
