Greta Berlin

Greta Berlin, one of the leaders of the Gaza flotilla, is one of the crazy anti-Israeli loons who inhabit many of the "peace" groups organized around the country for the sole purpose of attacking everything Israel does.

A good round-up of Berlin's history is at Solomonia.

Here is a video of Berlin disrupting a panel discussion in 2007:

Update: For a good history of the twisted American "peace" movement, which embraces the worst anti-Israeli elements, check out The International Solidarity Movement and the Rachel Corrie Death Cult

  1. Ghandi was effective because he was working against the British. Had it been the Chinese, we would never have learned his name.

  3. The tragedy of the people of Palestine is that their country was "given" by a foreign power to another people for the creation of a new state. The result was that many hundreds of thousands of innocent people were made permanently homeless. With every new conflict their numbers increased. How much longer is the world willing to endure this spectacle of wanton cruelty? It is abundantly clear that the refugees have every right to the homeland from which they were driven, and the denial of this right is at the heart of the continuing conflict. No people anywhere in the world would accept being expelled in masses from their own country; how can anyone require the people of Palestine to accept a punishment which nobody else would tolerate? A permanent just settlement of the refugees in their homeland is an essential ingredient of any genuine settlement in the Middle East. We are frequently told that we must sympathise with Israel because of the suffering of the Jews in Europe at the hands of the Nazis. [...] What Israel is doing today cannot be condoned, and to invoke the horrors of the past to justify those of the present is gross hypocrisy.

  4. I wrote a letter to The Olympian newspaper several years ago when the activities of RC's parents drew some adverse comments and their supporters began to froth at the mouth. The Olympian never published the letter. Here is the text:

Here are some facts that might help clear the air about Rachel Corrie and her parents.

By their own actions Rachel Corrie's parents have made themselves into public figures. Their many public appearances include accepting a plaque from the terrorist murderer, Yasser Arafat. They encouraged the publication of their daughter's private papers. They have cultivated a Cult of Rachel, and in doing these things they have forfeited their right to be free from public scrutiny.

Rachel joined the International Solidarity Movement and went to Gaza where she stirred up crowds with anti-Israel rhetoric and by burning mock American flags. She was photographed doing these things. The ISM is a notorious terrorist front group which has associated with and harbored known terrorists. It refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist in peace. Rachel died when she foolishly placed herself in the middle of a defensive Israeli Army operation.

Rachel Corrie was not the only Rachel to die in the Holy Land. Here are some truly innocent Rachels who were murdered in the recent past by Ms. Corrie's terrorist colleagues: Rachel Levy, Rachel Levi, Rachel Gavish (along with her husband, son and father in their home), Rachel Charhi (who left behind 3 children), Rachel Shabo (along with her 3 sons), and Rachel Thaler a British citizen living in Israel. If you want to feel sorry for a Rachel, one of these young women is a much more deserving candidate.
