Damn, Forgot to Use A Stake

The election of Scott Brown to the Senate left for dead the abomination known as the Senate health care bill.

But it may not have been enough to get the message through to the Democrats who just seem to be begging to be thrown out of office in November. Like a vampire rising with the setting sun, the Democratic health care bill may not have been dead for eternity.

From Politico:

Struggling to salvage health reform, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House speaker Nancy Pelosi have begun considering a list of changes to the Senate bill in hopes of making it acceptable to liberal House members, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The changes could be included in separate legislation that, if passed, would pave the way for House approval of the Senate bill - a move that would preserve President Barack Obama's vision of a sweeping health reform plan.

But the move comes with political risk, because it would open Democrats up to charges that they pressed ahead with roughly the same health care bill that voters appeared to reject in the Massachusetts Senate race Tuesday. Republican Scott Brown won on a pledge to try to block Obama-style health reform.
Which just goes to show that the only way to make sure this monstrosity never rises again is to drive an electoral stake through its heart:

Vote the Democrats out of office in November, regardless of what happens to the bill in the coming weeks.

  1. There was no stake available in Brown's election but we did slam the vampire to the ground. We Tea Party people are now preparing to drive in the stake by swarming around JD Hayworth in AZ to defeat Ted Kennedy's GOP counterpart John McCain.

We need to build on our victory in MA by carrying the battle to next biggest enemy of conservatives: John McCain. Getting McCain in trouble early and then piling on to keep him down will have the same effect on the GOP corruptocracy that electing Brown had on the Dem corruptocracy.

In defeating a one-party system, you need to take down its leaders on both sides of the imaginary fence. It takes the corruption of TWO parties to create a one-party system.

    It's great being us.

  2. Like the 1940s Japanese army commanders, they never, never, never, ever, surrender...sort of.

  3. "...But the move comes with political risk,...

That's quite an understatement considering last week's events.

  4. The despicable FDR drove the stake into the heart of laissez-faire capitalism and put this country on the path to socialism. Nationalizing healthcare has been unfinished business for Democrats since FDR's days. It's all about ideology.

But when FDR put us on the path to socialism, the country wasn't $12 trillion in debt and it didn't have existing unfunded commitments to social entitlements many multiples of that. Existing entitlements will bankrupt the country if not reformed and these idiots want to create even more entitlements.

Liberal Democrats are detached from reality and completely insane.

  5. This makes me very nervous. If they pass something now, so much will happen between now and 2013 that even if the Republicans control everything after 2012 would they be able to overturn it? If people start benefiting from it won't it just turn into another Social Security/Medicare/Medicade? After which opposing it becomes political suicide because then you're taking away people's healthcare! The odds are really stacked against us. When your goal is implementing more and more government control all you must do is pass it at some instance and then it's game over.
