No matter what I have said in the past, I want this to be a bad PhotoShop. Honestly.
Update 1-26-1020: It's kinda so, but not completely. Read the comments.

The video is at the White House...
ReplyDeleteI was going to make the same comment as Doug. It is not as bad as it seems if you watch the video this is seperate from him talking to the kids. This is a statement to the press in another room.
ReplyDeleteLike I said before, he's an empty suit ...
ReplyDelete6th graders? sigh.......
ReplyDeleteSo.... my question now becomes "Is the real President the one who writes the speeches?"
Yep, it's on the White House blog. I am truly flabbergasted by it.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable that he'd need all that just to speak to a classroom of school children.
The teleprompter is getting all the attention, but is the podiun necessary??? Did he have to bring his own rug?!
Makes you wanna sing "mmm...mmm...mmm"
ReplyDeleteThat's one of those rugs school children sit on when it is story time. Poor visuals, though, no matter how you slice it.
ReplyDeleteHe wears a rug?
ReplyDeleteAll kidding aside.
This could have been a funny story, IF it was intended to be.
What a maroon. His self-love is showing.

He was afraid he'd say something in that classroom the media would pick up. Like- "Have you read my little red book yet?"
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry, spending too much time reading Mao' last cultural revolution. Mao Obama, Obama Mao, Tomato, Tomauto...
It looks like a Jer is correct - he didn't use it to talk to the kids, just to reporters:
ReplyDeletehttp://musingsandtheirmeanings.blogspot.com/2010/01/if-this-is-not-photoshopped-we-are-in.html
but it was stupid of the WH not to make it clear. He looks ridiculous.
LOL, Where I work we were wondering if he takes the teleprompter to bed with him so he will know what to say to his wife...mm mmm mmm
ReplyDeleteSadly, I sat through his "middle class commission" speech today. It wasn't easy. I'm so sick of the sight and sound of him. WHY does he constantly snap his head from side to side? My guess is that he's trying to look like he's talking to everyone, but all it does is make him look uncomfortable and shifty. He does it every two or three SECONDS, it's scary. I'm waiting for his head to spin right around (thereby confirming my worst fears).
ReplyDeleteI just have to say, this is quite misleading. He's actually talking to the press in this picture and he talked to the kids seperately sitting on a stool with the vice president. I did chuckle, but it's not totally true. Here's the actual clip...

But if you disprove the idea that he is speaking to children with a teleprompter then how we can we keep our foment at level red. Stop confusing us with facts...it's just so unfair
