Hey, That's Not Nice!

(K. McCaffrey) -- We all know how the liberal narrative goes: the Tea Party is supposed to be racist. Even after Andrew Breitbart's $100,000 challenge and the continual failure to pinpoint awful tragedies on the Tea Party, lefties everywhere persist on blaming the Tea Party for all that is backwards in America. Despite an overwhelming lack of evidence, their "incivility" has been blamed for everything one can imagine.

Well, well, well, the recent protest against the Koch brothers had the cruel bite that many in the media only wish it could find at a Tea Party Rally. As John Fund, quoted in today's "Notable" section of the Journal, wrote about the recent protest:

Last weekend, almost 1,000 protestors assembled by Greenpeace, the Teamsters and public employee unions gathered outside the Rancho Las Palmas resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif., to agitate against what they called the "Billionaire's Caucus." That would be the biannual meeting hosted by Charles and David Koch, wealthy conservative donors who helped bankroll Americans for Prosperity and other groups active in the 2010 election.
Calls for political civility are much in the news, but this group clearly came in an ugly mood. Some of their signs featured swastikas and featured blood splattered next to the message, "Koch Kills."
Van Jones, the former Obama administration aide who was forced to resign over his ties to extremist groups, whipped up the crowd by saying "the Kochs must be exposed, they must be stopped." He accused them of trying to create an "economic plantation" for the poor.
After a raucous rally, many in the crowd tried to push past the police barricades. In the end, 25 people were arrested.
Far more eye-raising, though, is this video where a "progressive" (their words, not mine) calls for Clarence Thomas to be put "back in the fields," oh, and then "[strung] up." They're "peaceful people," except for ... yeah, when they're not:

  1. That's sad that they are so hateful but I'm not surprised. Progressives are exactly like the Muslim "religion": evil and they use one lie after another to achieve their nefarious goals.

  2. Excellent post, once again!!! Great to keep pointing out: once again, it is the Left who shovels hate, promotes racism, and divides the nation on every issue for their political gain. Good headline. On that note....

I just read a related story on "The Powers That Be" blog (Doug Powers) where the headline was, "Racist Teabaggers Call for Cutting Off Body Parts, Lynching of African-American Judge" (link: http://dougpowers.com/2011/02/03/african-american-judge/). Thank you for not using such an ill-conceived, "sarcastic" headline, which essentially hands Leftists a hook to lay the blame for this hate on the Tea Party.

Think I'm being too critical?! These Marxist goons lie and twist facts enough already without Conservatives feeding them headlines like this. Granted, it is all in the name of satire to highlight the Left's hypocrisy, of course; however, this "oh so intellectually elite" crowd doesn't even know (or pretends not to know) what a metaphor is (e.g. "targeting political districts"=hate speech)! You truly can't put anything beneath them. They will take this headline literally. No feeding the trolls, or trolling JournOlisters, please.

Truly a sad state of affairs; metaphors MUST BE LABELED AS SUCH, and SATIRE MUST BE LABELED AS SUCH, or your words will be taken out of context and used against you and other Conservatives. A sad state of affairs, indeed.

Case in point: Rachel Maddow getting pwned by the satirist ChrisWire; she reported it as news on 2/1/2011. Yeah, they are all that "brilliant." Never underestimate the Left - "by any means necessary" is their motto. Alinsky all the way for Progressive Leftists.

  3. This stuff drives me up walls. Liberals hate the people they're "supposed" to hate, so they can go nuts, whereas we have to be careful not to say "trigger" too many times in a sentence.

It kills me cause if you don't "Surf Conservative" you won't realize how much you're being spoon-fed the alternative.

  4. I urge all my America-loving friends to carry and use portable video cameras whenever possible. We need to keep exposing the cancer that is the 'progressive left' in this country.

When you have truth on your side, how can you lose??? Shine the light! Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine...

  5. I refuse to be civil to a bunch of goons and thugs who continue to insist they're not part of the problem.

In short, I'll play nice when they start to do the same. Until then? Forget it.

Yesterday, I posted the following comment referring to Anderson Cooper's pummeling in Egypt at 2-3 blogs:

"Famed CNN fudge-packer punched in head exactly ten times by Egyptian teabaggers."

Was I wrong to do that?

  7. Even people like the young woman don't make me "ashamed to be an American". And there is the difference between them and us.

  8. @Dino, Thanks - I actually kept that in mind when I was writing it!
    @William & don'ttread, ain't it the truth?
@Pasedena, it wasn't addressed to me - but yes.

  9. @Pasadena Phil - it is not a matter of "right" or "wrong", it is a matter of giving ammo to the enemy. Never a good idea. ;)

I disagree. It just doesn't matter what we say or do. They make it up anyway. We need to maintain our sense of humor and stop worrying about what the MSM or the uber-liberals think. That is how we always end up being silenced as we proceed and how we always allow the MSM to pick the Republican candidate. Even today, Patterico is again arguing that it's important to elect the uber-liberal Mike Castles with that very same RINO spineless argument.

The people who consistently storm the beaches and establish beachheads for conservatives are Michelle Malkin (with Doug Powers), Mark Levin, Andrew Breitbart, and Dan Riehl. I'm sure there are others but the ones named are the ones who throw elbows and stick to the facts regardless how offended our opponents (Dems and Assistant Dems alike) by truth and logic.

As Patrick Ruffini famously said in 2006, "Politics is a contact sport. Get a helmet."
