For the past four years, I've looked to CPAC for a fix of liberty-oriented resources and ideas. Growing up in a bastion of liberalism wasn't always easy, but CPAC has a way of making a conservative feel at ease. Last year, I had a particularly wonderful time since most of the speeches were centered around differentiating "us" from those in power.
This year, the "upwards trajectory" I had always felt, fell short. And the speeches were fine, sure, and the people I met were great, yeah, but ... oh gosh, why the emphasis on the primaries? Now that we're back in power, being in the opposition has lost its luster. Here is my plea: be yourself, speakers!
I want to be reminded that it's right to be ... right. Not that I should vote for _______.
