Bumper-geddon

I was thinking of holding this one back for a special occasion, but I just couldn't wait.  If the world were to end tomorrow, I would not want you to perish without having seen this.

Sent to me by a reader, this photo was taken in the spring of 2009 at Tysons Corner Center, McLean, VA.  Enlarge and enjoy:

You know the best thing about this?  This guy has gone from having the coolest car in town in the afterglow of Obama's inauguration, to having the most embarrassing set of wheels in the nation.

Nonetheless, I think I know someone who may be interested in buying it.

  3. Strange, it's not a BMW. Someone just attached a BMW emblem in place of the original. I'm not that good with Japanese cars, so someone help me out here: I think that is a Subaru Forrester, about MY 2006. That notwithstanding, Elizabeth, I would have no objection should BMW wish to destroy it.

You know, I'm not so sure. I see a few "Barak '12" stickers on there. I bet the owner is just as proud as can be of his/her president.

    .
Impossible as it may seem?   I know this to be true, because I know people with this mindset.   Very discouraging.

  8. This vehicle's owner appears to be so much against war but sports faux bullet holes in at least two windows.

    Uh huh.

  9. Around here we have had a few "nut cases" that plaster their cars like this, but usually it's a religious theme. About 10 years ago, I used to see one going up and down Wisconsin Avenue (Milwaukee) in front of the Federal building - he also had a loudspeaker blaring his rants.

What I see in this picture, is it's a rather decent vehicle for someone who is on SSI-Disability - that seems to be the common denominator of people who do this to their cars.

  10. If that car's owner tries to take all those bumper stickers off, the car would just... fall apart!

    Heh!

  13. Re your prognostication:

"Nonetheless, I think I know someone who may be interested in buying it."

Well, he better buy quickly because if the Sunshine poll down there is correct, Grayson will be out of a job very soon!
