Yes, and as just noted by Allahpundit at HotAir, CNN also used to use a crosshairs symbol for many years for their political debate show, CrossFire.
ReplyDeleteOooops! Yep, you're right, Professor . . . some crosshairs are "more equal" than others.
And, even though John King is now engaging in this business of calling out friends and guests for their on-air "slips-ups," and pompously swearing up and down that the folks at CNN are trying to get away "from that kind of language," we now find the brandy-new host of the old Larry King Show telling the press that he has compiled a list of people who he says will be banned (temporarily or otherwise) from his show.
He's refusing to interview Madonna, for example, and others.
But catch this one . . . and why. From the story:
". . . The other banned television host is Keith Olbermann. Why? "Just because it would really annoy him. I think he's a great broadcaster, but I know he gets wound up very easily. It's not a lifetime ban, it's a temporary ban, designed to confuse and bemuse him, and hopefully engender a violent reaction," Morgan said, the story notes.
. . . ."
(my emphasis added)
Oh my! Looks like the new kid didn't get the memo!!
