Jules Crittenden (his real name, really) has signed off his blog.
We will miss him, even though he is related somehow to David Frum.
He started his blog in the wake of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and figured his mission would be accomplished in short order, and he would be welcomed as a hero.
Didn't happen.
Instead, he engaged in a multi-year, emotionally expensive attempt at nation-building in the blogosphere. Only history will tell if his efforts were worth it. Whatever the historical judgment, Jules meant well, wrote well, and linked well.
Now that U.S. combat operations in Iraq (nominally) have ended, Jules found his exit strategy.
We will miss him. (Did I say that already?)
