Gravitas, what we need is Gravitas. A mind so large it can create a unified theory of everything, and pass it as a regulation.
What possibly could go wrong? (emphasis mine)
President Barack Obama's main idea for getting quality health care at less cost was in jeopardy Wednesday after key medical providers called his administration's initial blueprint so complex it's unworkable.He. Doesn't. Know. What. He. Is. Doing.
Just over a month ago, the administration released long-awaited draft regulations for "accountable care organizations," networks of doctors and hospitals that would collaborate to keep Medicare patients healthier and share in the savings with taxpayers. Obama's health care overhaul law envisioned quickly setting up hundreds of such networks around the county to lead a bottom-up reform of America's bloated health care system.
But in an unusual rebuke, an umbrella group representing premier organizations such as the Mayo Clinic wrote the administration Wednesday saying that more than 90 percent of its members would not participate, because the rules as written are so onerous it would be nearly impossible for them to succeed.
Further, if ACOs are not successful, we are concerned that the only alternative to future delivery system "reform" will be draconian cuts across the provider spectrum.[And now I anxiously await the "oh yes he does" comments.]

I love the "accountable care organizations" - collaborating to keep Medicare patients "healthier". whaaaaaaaa????? So, if the patient is not "healthier" by some obtuse standard, the hospital and the physician don't get paid? You are so correct, he does not know what he is doing. He thinks if he wishes it so, it will all work out and that is the end of it.
ReplyDeleteBut you don't understand, it's all part of the design. The unworkable complexity IS intentional (if your aim is to destroy).
ReplyDeleteYeah, he knows what he is doing :D

ReplyDeleteYou got that right ... and he's not that smart either. I weary of hearing over and over and over again how smart he [allegedly] is. Let's have a look at just the law school transcripts. His great intellect should surely have been revealed at some point during graduate level law school classwork, no?
He. Doesn't. Have. A. Clue.
Oh yes he does.
ReplyDeleteHe knows that what he is doing will move us one step closer to the Socialist Dreams from his Father.

ReplyDeleteDeb_B, you're (mistakenly imo) assuming that Barry is the brains behind this entire operation.
ReplyDeleteGrowing more bureaucracy to cure the ills of our regulation-bound, bloated and decreasingly competitive public- private healthcare system is like culturing ebola to eradicate acne.
ReplyDeleteObama's not only a mere wonk, he's a failed one. He shows no spark of understanding, much less genius. Progressives believe in forcing top-down concepts and "improvement" onto others that never seem to work, because they think the world's a classroom, village or urban social unit subject and responsive to their gauzy vision for others (rarely do they have to actually live it themselves, because they belong to the special class of thinkers, planners and elite somebodies).
Oh, they can put up with being exalted as saviors and overseers in the process, as long as they manage to fulfill/ ram through The Dream with flinty, "for your own good" sophomoric, unaffordable and counterproductive directives. They never seem to grasp the external truths of
human incentive and market psychology, epistemological dilemma, moral oppression (legislated thou shalts being even worse than shan'ts) and their own pathological vanity. In short, real life. Imo :}

Nope, that's just my point - he can't possibly be the brains behind the socialist/communist society march precisely because he isn't that smart. Nor do I think he's personally an idealogue. He just is ... whatever.
It's not Obamacare. It's Alinskycare.
ReplyDeleteThat chart illustration is actually a magnification of the Sebelius XX-400 Microchip that forms the CPU of the Obamacare Death Panel's chairman, Dr. No.
ReplyDeleteToday I will eat healthy food, and not too much of it, lift weights, take a walk, work, but not too much, love, and be loved, and get a good nights sleep. Since I can not count the the "health care" system to take care of me, I must do as much of that for myself as I can.
ReplyDeleteDr. Rube Goldberg is my Primary Care Physician, here in MA under RomneyCare.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I so appreciate the 'video of the day'. I absolutely loved it, what memories I have, I saw that show as a child. My parents would watch The Porter Wagoner Show and Dolly Parton was my first recording artist crush for years from 5 to 10 yrs. old. WOW! It was nice to think of my parents back when we were all here and happy. Thanks.
oh boy
ReplyDeletedo I agree with this conclusion of yours!

Btw Professor, I left a Q in the comments section of your Huckabee blog post. If you have the time to respond with your professional opinion, I would be grateful.
Hey, I didn't know the Mayo Clinic was full of RAAAAACISTS!
