Via Israel Matzav, a translation of the Hebrew prayer hung above the bed of 11-year old Yoav Fogel, murdered in his bed by an intruder who also killed several members of his family, including his baby sister, as they slept:
"May it be Your will, L-rd G-d and G-d of our forefathers, that I love every one of Israel as myself, and to graciously perform the positive commandment of loving your neighbor as yourself.
And may it also be Your will, Lord G-d and G-d of my forefathers, that you cause the hearts of my friends and neighbors to love me fervently, and that I be accepted and desirable to everyone, and that I be loving and pleasant, and that I be gracious and merciful in the eyes of all who see me. As water reflects face to face, so the heart of man to man. And all for the sake of Heaven, to do Your will, Amen."

  1. How beautiful that prayer is! It looks like a child's project, hand made, for the baby. The words cry out in love.

Hell is where people belong who commit such atrocities; it will be worse than anything we can imagine. How tragic and twisted that those who would commit murder of innocents, in the name of Allah - and celebrate it! - think that such evil gets them into Allah's heaven. Wrong. Perverted. Wicked.

Thanks for sharing this - and the baby's picture on your prior post. May G-d have mercy and His justice prevail.

  2. It's still hard to comprehend how even the most evil of people could be capable of stabbing sleeping children to death.

May the family rest in peace.

There's nothing worse than intentionally harming children.

I've never hurt another human being in my life, but I'd have no qualms strapping the perpetrator(s) of this crime in old sparky, slapping a few pounds of bacon in their lap and frying them.

  3. @LukeHandCool, you are a person after my own heart.

I pray for the child who found her murdered family, and for everyone who grieves this terrible, senseless loss.

  4. My preference would be that the perps be buried alive.

  5. Professor, tell them, tell every one, what they did to the baby.

  6. They aren't worth the hate. Strap them to an anchor, throw them off a boat over the Marianas trench and let the deeps claim their bodies for scavengers.
