Al Sharpton and Race Baiting Irony

Apparently, it constitutes race baiting to mention Al Sharpton when criticizing the boycott of Arizona, according to Kevin Johnson, at ImmigrationProf Blog:

The Securetheborder.org website mentioned in Palin's message includes the following "defense" of Arizona:

"instead of taking action to help, the state has come under attack by people who are misrepresenting Arizona’s laws and trying to hurt our efforts to support the rule of law. They include President Obama, Al Sharpton, the East Coast media, and political strategists who are trying to use the issue of illegal immigration for political gain."

I wonder why Reverend Sharpton is listed with President Obama as one of the troublemakers for Arizona, as opposed to say, Senator Lindsay Graham and Tom Tancredo, two conservatives who have questioned the law?

Can you spell R-A-C-E B-A-I-T-I-N-G?

Yes, I can spell it, but you still don't know what you are talking about.

Maybe, just maybe, Sharpton is mentioned because he is leading boycott efforts against Arizona, whereas Graham and Tancredo are not:
"I do support a boycott," [Sharpton] said. "Because I think it would be wrong to help to finance and subsidize racism. And that's what would happen if this bill goes into effect. I intend tonight at the rally to say that the next rally that I participate in will be in front of the Major League Baseball offices asking Commissioner Selig that they not bring the All-Star Game here [in 2011]."
Is it possible that Sharpton's conduct, not his skin color, was the reason he was mentioned? Is it R-A-C-E B-A-I-T-I-N-G for me to point to facts?

And what irony, to claim that criticizing one of the most prolific race baiters "since the Great Depression," itself constitutes race baiting.

  1. When people (other than white) support the Arizona law (which mirrors the un-enforced federal statute), Al Sharpton refers to them as traitors to their race.

While Sharpton does enjoy a certain popularity with the regime of barack hussein obama, his credibility elsewhere hovers around zero. Americans know he's a mouthpiece for the radical left. The radical left LIE - continually to support their agenda.

And when you think about it for a minute or two, you understand completely why the Tea Party Movement sprang into life. It's a reaction to the radical left and INTOLERANCE for runaway government spending on a socialist agenda they disagree with. To Sharpton, a man for whom everything is racially motivated, the Tea Party participants are either racists or traitors to their race.

  2. I am looking forward to Al returning to Arizona in July. He will not survive a hike down Van Buren in 120 degrees. His hair will melt in the heat. :)

  3. Al "The Rev" Sharpton holds a masters degree in race baiting. He is, on one hand, a Master Baiter. This works out well for him, seeing as race baiting seems his primary function.

Obama, on the other hand, is merely a jerk-off. I sometimes wonder if one hand knows what the other is doing...

  5. We teach our kids not to talk to strangers to help them develop a healthy sense of what is safe behavior. It is not to teach fear, but to teach good judgement. Even JJackson said he is relieved when he hears steps behind him and it isn't a young black man.........

Without the ability to use your senses combined with your experience and education, you are vulnerable to being a second rate victim. In the SCOTUS dissent today, Thomas asks what the difference it is when the rapist kills the victim or just leaves the victim to die concerning cruel and unusual punishment of a junivile. Who receives justice? the victim, the perp, or both?

All people are prejudicial and discriminating. If Al Sharpton wasn't, we wouldn't be reading this post.
