More Famous Moments In Civil Discourse - Schumer Edition
In a fundraising e-mail supporting Martha Coakley in the special election to fill the seat vacated by Ted Kennedy, Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) referred to then-candidate, now-Senator Scott Brown, as a "far-right tea-bagger."
At the time Schumer made the comment, everyone knew what "teabagger" meant in Democratic parlance. Nice.
Classic Chucky keepin' it classy. The irony is Brown has turned out to be neither "far right" nor aligned with the tea party. The Left will invent anything to smear their opponents, facts be damned.
