Kraft Foods has issued a formal request that users of Dijon mustard receive a presidential pardon (click on photo below for full text): "So we urge you to respond to “Dijon-gate” by issuing a “pardon” to any American who has ever been criticized for putting a liberal spread of Dijon mustard on a burger or a conservative dollop on a ham & cheese sandwich."
At least the marketers at Kraft have not lost their sense of satire and irony.

This is great, illustrates the jump to conclusions mentality of the left.
ReplyDeleteTwo more things. First, I love that Alan Colmes's website is alan.com. Second, I love that you're reporting on it. So simple, yet so subtle. That is one well connected man.
William, you are the Colonel Mustard of the blogosphere - I love it.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of "Mean Mister Mustard." (Now I have to go dig up "Abbey Road.") Incidentally, I just checked our fridge. Grey Poupon Dijon, same with mustard seed, same with port wine, and 3 types of Kraft and French's mustards and mustards with horseradish.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Grey Poupon commercials in the Rolls and limos. Maybe they're still on but we never see commercials anymore. Kraft could really make a whole ad campaign out of this kerfuffle. I think they should run with this.
This whole Dijon Hell Burger media promotion was just to cover for the fact that the Iraqi Govt is raising Hell about the activities of the "innocent" Prisoners Obama had released in Iraq who just kidnapped Tortured and Murdered a 5 Year Old Boy and have returned to their "innocent" activities they were engaged in before being locked up such as executing Police, Govt Officials, Anti AlQueda Leaders, Suicide Attacks on civilians and killing U.S. Military. Dijon Hell Burger indeed. Couple that with the fact that the Taliban is posting videos of their young Madrassa Pupils out for recess slicing off Heads with their Hunting Knives and recording it with their cell phone cameras, basically committing Genocide in Swat and the massive Bailout for Al Queda's Propoganda Wing by providing them Documents and all the photos they need for their recruitment and encite campaigns, there'll be more Dijon Hell Burger style Press Skits.
ReplyDeleteI feel this whole Dijon kerfuffle illustrates the problem with the 24 hour news cycle. Meaningless bullshit, such as where the president ate lunch, had no place in the news, when the networks had 22 minutes to tell us everything significant that took place in the world that day. Now with CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc, there is far too much time available for news, so we get a 10 minute story about the president's lunch followed by stories about arguments about what he ate in the days after the first ridiculous story. We'd all be better off with out the cable news networks. I wish we could go back to well written newspapers and a half hour of the most critical news of the day on television.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Kraft and its sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteZuniga has said it the right way and yes kudos to Kraft for a funny ad.
