The Torch Has Been Passed To A New Obama Generation

Obama announced via Twitter that his grassroots campaign will start today, on the eve of his nationwide tour of big money donors so that he can become the first billion-dollar candidate in the history of this country (sorry, that last part wasn't in the announcement).

The Obama campaign released this video as part of the rollout:

The Obama campaign also has leaked the text of the next video:
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first Obama revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Obama fans -- born at the end of the last century, tempered by student loans and competition for the most Facebook friends, disciplined by a hard and bitter college admissions process, proud of Obama's ancient heritage, and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights like free internet to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.
If you don't think the MSM will be totally in the tank again, take a glimpse of this opening paragraph by Marc Ambinder writing at National Journal, which portrays Obama as the victim of circumstance:
President Obama opens his reelection campaign on Monday with a familiar cast of consultants; an economy that's improving, sluggishly; wars that he is struggling to extract himself from; and an implacable partisan fight in Congress that might shut down the government by week's end.

  1. That is hilarious! In the beginning God created the internet and proclaimed it shall be free for all.

These people have such an infantile perception of reality. Those of us who have grown into adulthood, free from the stronghold of perpetual adolescence, understand how difficult it is just to feed our families and keep a roof over our heads. We would not be so bold and selfish to expect our neighbors to pay for our internet....

Or mortgage, or cell phone, or abortion, or car...

I have no problem providing food, clothing, and shelter to those who are truly in need, but I do have a problem when people start demanding more and more. It reminds me of my almost 3 year old son. He has a confused concept of what sharing is. He will pull something out of my hand and if I resist he yells at me to "SHARE mommy!" I explain to him that is not sharing, it is stealing when you force another person to give up their property unwillingly. Sharing is when YOU voluntarily give something to someone else. The liberals have the 3 year old concept of sharing... give me, give me, give me.

  3. Not far from reality though, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. recently called for an amendment to the constitution that every child has a right to an ipod. Also my school district has given free smart phones to all 6th graders, with free service. This is not a big suprise though either since the principal quoted a socialist on the front page of the newsletter.

  4. Professor Jacobson said, "... it's a joke."

You're talking about that two-minute video I just laughed through, right? To be a truly effective parody of Obama zombies, it needs to be a little more subtle in its portrayal of the characters' childlike gullibility.

  5. Whew! Thanks. I was having trouble wrapping myself around it 'cause it's so close to what I'd expect from those people.

It was a real LOL cats moment...Oh, noes!

  6. I keep thinking that there is no way he can possibly win again. Everyone knows him now and knows how inept he really is. He went from walking on water to just being a mere mortal like the rest of us. But then, I'm an optimist.

  7. The text to the next video includes "...unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights like free internet to which this nation has always been committed"...isn't it Obama who wants net neutrality and an internet kill switch under his biased authority, in his slimy, twitchy hands? NewGen wake up or forget Twitter otherwise you're all just a bunch of TWITS.
